Join us on this early spring bridge holiday, staying at the Hotel Carlton in Bournemouth, set in an excellent location with views across the bay. As well as enjoying the included bridge programme, you can spend your free time on the seafront, in the vibrant town centre, and along the seven miles of sandy beaches. Take a stroll through the Lower, Central and Upper Gardens, or head for the pedestrianised high street, with Victorian arcades, high street favourites, and independent retailers on offer. This seaside break is the perfect way to start your spring!

Make your way to the hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner followed by an evening bridge session.
Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break, and, in addition to playing bridge, we try to include interesting bridge seminars, hosted by your EBU-qualified director.
Your duplicate bridge will be available every evening between 7:45pm and 11:15pm. We endeavour to vary these evening sessions, balancing between teams and pairs and featuring at least one Swiss event during a two-week break.
Bridge will also be offered some afternoons between 2:30pm and 4:45pm. These sessions are normally given over to open pairs/teams.
Masterpoints are awarded on evening bridge sessions, and on day sessions with over 5 tables.
During your bridge holiday, nothing is obligatory, and you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. We don’t forget you are on holiday and our bridge programmes also allow time to relax, giving the opportunity for you to explore the surrounding area.
In your free time, you can use the leisure facilities at the hotel, explore the wonderful seaside town of Bournemouth with plenty of shops to browse, or take a stroll along the seven miles of sandy beaches!
After a leisurely breakfast, it is time to depart the hotel for home.
You will stay for four nights at the Bournemouth Carlton Hotel, BW Signature Collection.
Perched on Bournemouth's famous East Cliff, Bournemouth Carlton Hotel, BW Signature Collection offers dramatic views across the bay. Built in the Victorian era, the hotel has a rich history and has attracted some illustrious guests over the years, including Harold Macmillan, Bobby Moore and General Eisenhower, who debated D-Day landing plans with Field Marshal Montgomery over lunch at the hotel during World War Two. Meander down the path from the clifftop and you'll be basking on the golden sands in no time, while a 15-minute walk along the seafront takes you to the Oceanarium and Bournemouth Pier. When you're not out and about, there's plenty to keep you occupied in the hotel itself, with an indoor heated swimming pool, gym, and sauna, along with the restaurant and Cocktail bar, with a relaxing terrace overlooking the sea, being the perfect place to enjoy a drink. Conveniently the hotel has it's own car park, with complimentary parking, or for those travelling by train, the station is situated just 1 mile from hotel.
