Situated in the heart of the Victorian spa town of Harrogate the Crowne Plaza is the perfect location for our 4- night stay. The hotel is situated only five minute walk from Harrogate town centre and ten minutes stroll from the train station, and situated next to Harrogate Convention Centre. There is much to explore in Harrogate, from the delightful cobbled Montpellier Quarter which houses art galleries, antique and vintage shops to the English Heritage Grade II Listed Valley Gardens. We Include a Walking Tour of Harrogate with a Blue Badge Guide to help you familiarise yourself with this wonderful spa town, along with an Included visit to Newby Hall & Gardens with a guided House tour.

Your Bridge Programme
Your duplicate bridge will be available every evening between 7:45pm and 11:15pm. We endeavour to vary these evening sessions, balancing between teams and pairs and featuring at least one Swiss event during a two-week break.
Bridge will also be offered some mornings or afternoons. These sessions are normally given over to open pairs/teams.
Masterpoints are awarded on evening bridge sessions, and on day sessions with over 5 tables.
We also try to include interesting bridge seminars as part of your programme, hosted by your EBU-qualified director.
During your holiday, nothing is obligatory, and you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. We don’t forget you are on holiday and our bridge programme also allows time to relax, giving you the opportunity to explore the surrounding area.

This morning we are joined by local Blue Badge guides as we head off on foot for a walking tour of Harrogate.
Set in the heart of North Yorkshire, our tour takes us around this elegant Victorian Spa Town. Your guides will bring history to life as you stroll past the 17-acre Valley Gardens, Royal Pump Room, Montpellier quarter, and much more. Feel free to stay for the length of the tour, or leave to explore at your leisure – it’s your day after all!

The afternoon is free for you to enjoy at leisure and explore more of Harrogate.
This evening we enjoy dinner and bridge.
Today, we head by coach to Newby Hall, the family home of Mr & Mrs Richard Compton. Built in the 1690’s by Sir Christopher Wren, the house was later adapted by John Carr and subsequently Robert Adam. Newby Hall is one of Britain's finest Adam Houses along with its award-winning gardens.
We include a guided tour of the house before enjoying time at leisure to explore the 25-acre gardens along with the Sculpture Park and Dollshouse exhibition. The Garden Restaurant serves refreshments daily and the shop at Newby Hall is worth a browse!
After our visit, the coach returns us back to the hotel for some free time before dinner and evening bridge.
After a leisurely breakfast, it’s time to check out of the hotel and make your own way home.
