Located in the heart of Yorkshire, we stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for a charming bridge holiday. Your hotel is in the centre of the lovely Victorian spa town of Harrogate, with thriving streets and lovely boutiques. Wander through the attractive Montpellier Quarter, take a stroll through the beautiful Grade II-listed Valley Gardens, or even make a visit to Betty’s Tea rooms. The surrounding area consists of places such as Ripon, a lovely Cathedral city, along with Knaresborough, a delightful market town with a wonderful riverside location. With the Yorkshire Dales on our doorstep, this truly is the perfect setting for a bridge break.

Your Bridge Programme
Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break, and, in addition to playing bridge, we try to include interesting bridge seminars, hosted by your EBU-qualified director.
Your duplicate bridge will be available every evening between 7:45pm and 11:15pm. We endeavour to vary these evening sessions, balancing between teams and pairs and featuring at least one Swiss event during a two-week break.
Bridge will also be offered some afternoons between 2:30pm and 4:45pm. These sessions are normally given over to open pairs/teams.
Masterpoints are awarded on evening bridge sessions, and on day sessions with over 5 tables.
During your bridge holiday, nothing is obligatory, and you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. We don’t forget you are on holiday and our bridge programmes also allow time to relax, giving the opportunity for you to explore the surrounding area.
Make your own way to the Crowne Plaza Hotel to meet our bridge team and get acquainted with your fellow players. There will be a singles meeting to find a partner if needed. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner followed by evening bridge.
Join us for a morning bridge session. Your afternoon is then free to relax and explore your surroundings before dinner and evening bridge.
Morning bridge followed by time at leisure in the afternoon. Enjoy some shopping or sightseeing in Harrogate before dinner and evening bridge.
Join our bridge director and learn some new tricks in the morning seminar. There will be a bridge session this afternoon for those who wish to play. Enjoy dinner and bridge this evening.
After a leisurely breakfast, depart the hotel for your journey home.
