Meet the
Team

We’ve assembled a fantastic team of directors, hosts and teachers, all dedicated to providing an engaging and supportive bridge-playing environment.

Meet the Team
Ro Kaye

Ro Kaye

Ro enjoys playing bridge at her local club, Cheltenham. She has been chairman there and run the Congress Committee for several years too. She is actively involved in EBEDD as child protection officer and loves participating in the local youth teaching scheme as well as being one of the organisers of the Junior Spring Camp.
Chris and Linda Benneworth

Chris and Linda Benneworth

Following successful careers in education, Chris and Linda retired in the late nineties and started directing together, working at first in local and more recently in overseas congresses. They ran the North Eastern Bridge Association Congress for a number of years in Otterburn, Consett and Gateshead, an event with a deserved reputation for friendliness.
Hilary and David Powell

Hilary and David Powell

First for Bridge hosts Hilary and David Powell are looking forward to making your bridge holiday restful and enjoyable. They play bridge regularly at several local bridge clubs and in county competitions. David has represented Kent on several occasions in the annual Metropolitan Cup, and they are on the committee of Bromley North Bridge Club.
Colin Simcox

Colin Simcox

Colin Simcox is an EBU Panel Director who can be seen at many events, especially across the West Country and Wales. He was fortunate to learn bridge whilst at school, now some 40 years ago. Colin has been playing regularly ever since and has represented Somerset in the Tollemache Cup on many occasions, as well as the Corwen Trophy and Pachabo.
Maggie Pyner

Maggie Pyner

Maggie has played bridge for over forty years, being a life master and playing at county level representing Norfolk, with her late husband John where they moved to for their retirement. She is a panel director for the EBU and has run bridge congresses all over the country, alongside holidays abroad and cruises.
Sarah Amos

Sarah Amos

Sarah is the third generation of her family to be hooked on bridge, following after her mother and grandparents. She started playing over 35 years ago and began teaching and directing not long after. She is probably best known as a top-level Tournament Director in both Wales and England.
