For many years, the idyllic island of Corfu has been a favourite destination for British holidaymakers, and the picturesque capital, Corfu Town, reflects this in its diverse history. Our 5-star accommodation, the Rodostamo Hotel & Spa, boasts superb facilities, excellent service and delicious dining. Although peacefully located, it is easy to get around the island as the hotel offers a shuttle service, and Gouvia can be reached by boat from Kommeno Bay. We also include an excursion to colourful Corfu Town, with its cobblestone streets, pastel-coloured Venetian architecture, and medieval fortresses.

Your Bridge Programme
Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break, and, in addition to playing bridge, we try to include interesting bridge seminars, hosted by your EBU-qualified director.
Your duplicate bridge will be available every evening between 7:45pm and 11:15pm. We endeavour to vary these evening sessions, balancing between teams and pairs and featuring at least one Swiss event during a two-week break.
Bridge will also be offered some mornings or afternoons . These sessions are normally given over to open pairs/teams.
Masterpoints are awarded on evening bridge sessions, and on day sessions with over 5 tables.
During your bridge holiday, nothing is obligatory, and you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. We don’t forget you are on holiday and our bridge programmes also allow time to relax, giving the opportunity for you to explore the surrounding area.

Corfu Town (Day 4)
From your hotel, we head to Kanoni. Here, you can enjoy excellent views of the picturesque Mouse Island and Vlacherna Convent, which is linked to the mainland by a causeway. Mouse Island was formed, according to legend, when the ship of Odysseus, that took him back to his homeland Ithaca, was turned to stone. The God of the Sea, Poseidon, was angry at Phaeacians because they defied him.
Our tour then carries on to Corfu Town, taking us through the fascinating history of this island. We observe the historic, cultural, and architectural footprints of the Venetians, French, and British who shaped the unique character of this medieval town. Our guide will show you the most significant sights of the city, such as the grandiose Old Fortress, the Palace of St. Michael and St. George, and St Spyridon Church. From the highest point of the Jewish Quarter, you have an aerial view of Corfu Town. Discover the many faces of Corfu's capital, wander around the maze of tiny streets (kandounia), and marvel at the differing architectural influences. Take the opportunity to visit museums and churches, or simply relax for a coffee or a refreshment in one of the famous Liston cafés. If you're lucky, you may catch a lazy game of cricket.
Wine Tasting at Theotoki Estate (Day 6)
Join us for an optional wine tasting tour at the Theotoki Estate, one of the oldest wineries in Greece. The estate has been producing high quality wines for over 130 years and has won many international awards. See how the dry white, red and rose wines and extra virgin olive oil are produced during your tour of the estate and cellars. Afterwards, there is a small buffet under the shade of the trees, which includes 2 different wines and olive oil for tasting accompanied by tomato salad, olives, feta bread and local salami. You can book this optional excursion at the welcome meeting for 40 euros per person.
