Join us this New Year for a fun-filled bridge break in the beautiful city of Bristol. Look forward to ringing in 2025 with fizz and canapés alongside your newfound friends, making for an evening to remember. Our base, the DoubleTree by Hilton, boasts an enviable location in the heart of the city, close to the historic and most artistic harbourside. Bristol has recently been voted one of the UK’s most walkable cities, and the hotels superb position offers easy access to the shops at Cabot Circus, a wide range of restaurants, the Banksy Art Trail and other nearby attractions including the contemporary harbourside art gallery, Arnolfini, SS Great Britain and Clifton Suspension Bridge. Bristol Temple Meads train station is a 5-minute walk from the hotel, and there is a regular bus to Bristol Airport that stops near the hotel. Parking is available at the hotel and bridge guests will be able to benefit from a special rate of £10 per car overnight, payable directly to the hotel.

Your Bridge Programme
Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break, and, in addition to playing bridge, we try to include interesting bridge seminars, hosted by your EBU-qualified director.
Your duplicate bridge will be available every evening between 7:45pm and 11:15pm. We endeavour to vary these evening sessions, balancing between teams and pairs and featuring at least one Swiss event during a two-week break.
Bridge will also be offered some afternoons between 2:30pm and 4:45pm. These sessions are normally given over to open pairs/teams.
Masterpoints are awarded on evening bridge sessions, and on day sessions with over 5 tables.
During your bridge holiday, nothing is obligatory, and you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. We don’t forget you are on holiday and our bridge programmes also allow time to relax, giving the opportunity for you to explore the surrounding area.

Please Note: The hotel has 150 car parking spaces on a first come basis. Car parking for bridge guests is £10 per car per night, reduced from the normal rate of £16 per night.

This highly rated 4-star hotel has 206 guest rooms and is perfectly located in the heart of Bristol with excellent public transport links; Bristol Temple Meads train station is a short walk away, and there is a direct bus route to Bristol Airport, with the regular airport bus stopping directly opposite the hotel. The Temple Bar offers a relaxed dining experience with a tempting selection of drinks, and the Kiln Restaurant is a truly historic and unique dining space. It is an original 17th-century glass kiln, which is a listed building that has been transformed into an atmospheric dining area.
