Join us for a relaxing bridge holiday in the heart of the Rhine Valley, staying in the delightful winemaking town of Boppard. The elegant, 4-star superior Bellevue Rheinhotel boasts an outstanding position, sitting on the riverside promenade, majestically overlooking the mighty Rhine in the very centre of the town. Guests have free entry to Boppard Castle and Museum, and complimentary use of local public transport, making it simple to explore this UNESCO region, full of castles, quaint riverside towns brimming with legend.
We include a fabulous, full-day cruise along the Middle Rhine Valley past the Lorelei Rock to Rüdesheim, and a wine tasting in the hotel wine cellars.

Your Bridge Programme
Play & Explore holidays are suited to intermediate players who wish to learn new skills, and regular players looking for a relaxed holiday with bridge.
Our bridge programmes will vary according to the length of your break, and, in addition to playing bridge, our host will aim to include interactive bridge seminars.
Your duplicate bridge will be available every evening between 7:45pm and 11:15pm. We endeavour to vary these evening sessions, balancing between teams and pairs and playing relaxed and friendly bridge.
Bridge will also be offered some afternoons between 2:30pm and 4:45pm. These sessions are normally given over to open pairs/teams.
Masterpoints are awarded on evening sessions, and on day sessions with over 5 tables.
During your bridge holiday, nothing is obligatory, and you can play in as many or as few bridge sessions as you wish. We don’t forget you are on holiday and our bridge programmes also allow time to relax, giving the opportunity for you to explore the surrounding area.
Fly to Frankfurt airport from Heathrow. Flights from Manchester are available at a supplement. We transfer to the hotel for dinner and evening bridge.
Alternatively, if you have made your own travel arrangements, we will meet you at the hotel.
This Play & Explore holiday is suited to intermediate players who wish to learn new skills, and regular players looking for a relaxed holiday with bridge. On day 2, join us for a morning welcome meeting.
Rhine Cruise (Day 4)
Join us for a full day cruise along the romantic Middle Rhine, passing medieval castles steeped in history, rolling vineyards, and quaint riverside towns. We sail pass the Lorelei Rock, where legend has it a fair maiden threw herself into the Rhine in despair over a faithless lover and was transformed into a siren who lured fishermen to destruction. We stop at the winemaking town of Rüdesheim am Rhein. Here you can lose yourself in its cobbled streets; visit Siegfrieds Music Museum or take the cable car up high above the vineyards to the Niederwald Monument to experience fantastic views across the Rhine Valley.
Wine Tasting (Day 6)
In the afternoon, we sample five different types of wine from the Middle Rhine Valley. The tasting will take place in the hotel cellars or in its sister hotel.
Depart the hotel after breakfast for our transfer to Frankfurt Airport and flight back to UK.
Alternatively, if you have made your own travel arrangements, you will check out of the hotel and make your own way home.
You still stay for seven nights at the Bellevue Rheinhotel.
