Masuma Knevitt

Expert Overview

Masuma has played bridge since leaving university and still thoroughly enjoys it to this day. She still has weekly social bridge sessions with the same group that she knew then.

Her bridge has gone from strength to strength by playing regularly and competitively. Bridge is very much a social activity and Masuma loves chatting to people from a diverse background with all levels of abilities. Her most interesting class of students were a group of adult Japanese armed with google translate in hand!

Masuma's professional career as a secondary school chemistry eased her into qualifying as an EBU bridge tutor. She has also qualified as a bridge director and ran and directed at the Wensum Bridge club... until it folded with the onset of COVID.

Masuma has assisted, taught, and ran bridge sessions aboard Fred Olsen and Cunard cruises.

She has known James and Jane Tullett for many years. Jane, through our very successful period of being amateur dramatists! Both James and Jane through bridge and a love of good food! Masuma has joined James and Jane as a customer to several holidays including Cyprus, Crete and Austria.
